Blo And Go.

Let's not get nasty about the name of the product, ok? I can hear you giggling.
Really this looks like it could have potential. Sometimes you need to get the heat right up on your scalp, and the angles might be kind of difficult to master, but other than that it could be a huge help. It's pretty cheap too.

Thumbs Down!

We're about 3 weeks into this blog, and I've just realized that we haven't done a single negative post!
I guess this is kind of good...I mean, who would want to read lists of things they shouldn't buy? But on the other hand, some warning is nice when you're considering spending your hard earned money on a product that may be complete crap.
So, here are a couple products I've bought recently that I would never recommend to a friend.

Redken All Soft

Not soft AT ALL. Like the kind of dry and tangled that even your fave conditioner can't smooth. I had heard good things about the scent too...Puh-leaze, smells like a whole lot of nothing.

John Frieda Frizz Ease Moisture Barrier Hairspray

Sticky, crunchy, everything you don't want your hairspray to be. Do not buy.

Loreal Elnett

The contents within this bottle have been the "Gold Standard" of the biggest names in hairstyling for decades.
According to a who's who of hair experts this is like the best hairspray ever.
Unfortunately, due to one pesky little chemical not approved for use in the U.S. Loreal Elnett has been extremely hard to come by for American women.
But now, with a slight reformulation, it is finally available in the U.S., and this fabulous hairspray is being exclusively sold at....TARGET! Yeah, so go get you some it's recession proof baby! Actually, at $13.99 it's not the cheapest hairspray ever. but it's do-able, right?

T3 Bespoke Labs Narrow Wet-or-Dry Iron

On my latest Sephora run I fell victim to the T3 Wet-or-Dry Flatiron. I am always looking for a way to keep myself from having to go to the hair salon so often, I just don't like being bound to them. So I'm considering the $200.00 Price tag an investment, although this is the most expensive piece of hair machinery I've ever bought. I almost wanted to dislike it, so I could return it and get my money back, but guess what? LOVE IT!
It gets WAAYYY hotter than I would ever need it to, (in fact I prob scorched my hair a bit on my first time with it, I can be overzealous) plus it goes through my hair like a hot knife through butter. It makes curls and waves and stick straighty-ness, and the whole wet/dry thing actually works. You cant use it on dripping wet hair, but if you use it while your is damp, the company claims that it will "lock" moisture into your hair. I don't know about all that, but yes, in ONE pass of this flatiron, you can go from damp hair to dry and straightened.
Again, maybe I'm just excited because I've never bought this level of styling tool before. I think Avy is pretty loyal to her CHI (right?)But from my limited knowledge, I'm giving this a major thumbs up. If you're looking for a flatiron it's great!

Neutrogena Triple Moisture Cream Lather Shampoo

It's 3:30 in the morning and I should be getting my beauty rest, but I felt like sharing with you guys. A few weeks ago I had posted about how much I hated the Redken All Soft Shampoo I bought, but I'm a jerk and I kept forgetting to buy a new bottle of something I do like. I've been resorting to digging out the last scrapings of old bottles of shampoo.
So Anyway, I pass by a 24 hr Duane Reade on my way home and grab a bottle of this Neutrogena Triple Moisture Cream Lather Shampoo. FREAKING LOVE IT!!!!!
I'm not even into drugstore shampoos, but this could convert me. It has to be in a top 5 of best shampoos I've tried, and its sold at a $5.00- $8.00 price depending where you buy it. That's hard to beat when my other faves are expensive.
It smells good, detangled quickly and completely, made my hair feel silky, all the good stuff.
I cant wait to try the rest of the line!

Mane-Tain!

Damn what Ashanti says, THIS is that good good!
As you can see from the above picture, I'm not the only one who thinks so.  Check the best of Sephora caption. This cream is great for styling, adding non-greasy shine, and smoothing flyaways. There is no styling cream that works better for me.

Glossing Cream
What it is:
A leave-in cream for shiny, manageable hair.
What it does:
Frederic Fekkai Glossing Cream provides light control and imparts lasting shine. It also protects your locks from styling tool damage, and shields hair from the environment with UVA and UVB sunscreens. The cream absorbs quickly and without greasiness.
