Eternal Flame.

Christian Louboutin's $2,445 Maralena Flame Sandal has been named The Sexiest Shoe of 2010.

Footwear News in partnership with Saks 5th Ave selected the finalists for the sexiest heels, but the vote for a winner was open to the public, both online and in Saks stores.
8,000 votes later we have a winner! What do you think? Super sexy? Or not so much? I personally prefer the bootie version to the sandal. I could totally stomp people into submission with these babies!

Check out some of the other finalists. Would you have chosen a different winner? Or different finalists altogether?

This Minute In Trash T.V.

Although I am not a reality show addict, I freely admit that I do indulge in a few trashy shows, and the more Springer-esque the better. I don't have many vices, so I need some "Oh no that bitch didn't!" every now and again.

Last night I saw the Rock Of Love Charm School reunion. I've never actually watched Rock Of Love with Bret Michaels, but I started following Charm School because I think Megan is hilarious. Not in a laughing at her way either, I'm totally laughing with her. I actually like her, even though her shoes in the above picture are heinous and an abomination. I think I may be the only person on earth who does like her though, and last night she talked shit about Ozzy which led to Sharon Osbourne giving her a mini beatdown.

Mind you, Megan had been eliminated from the show for "fighting", and Sharon's last words as Megan was leaving were "Violence is one thing I just will not tolerate" Hypocrisy anyone?

Now why is Sharon Osborne teaching charm anyway? Who told her she was a classy lady? Isn't she crass and nasty? Weren't her family's antics the basis of a popular reality show for several seasons?
What Megan said wasn't nice, but Sharon started it! Telling a woman she should be spayed like a dog is fucking rude! Megan took the beating, but you know what? I might let Sharon Osbourne whup my ass too. Following the incident Megan went to the hospital, and then filed a police report with the LAPD. I hope Megan sues her, and wins.

Sharon Vs. Megan. Skip to around the 6:00 mark to get to the good stuff.

Rock Of Love Bus has also just started. I didn't watch it, and I don't plan to, but I saw this clip on DLISTED. Apparently your friend wrote a song for Bret...on the back of some kind of guide to all STD's...Why don't you tell her something about herself?

People's 10 Best Dressed Stars Of 2008

People Magazine has unveiled their list of the 10 best dressed celebs of this past year. Here they are, in no particular order. Agree, or disagree?

1. Charlize Theron

2. Eva Mendes

3. Michelle Obama

4. Sarah Jessica Parker

5. Heidi Klum

6. Anne Hathaway

7. Fergie

8. Gwyneth Paltrow

9. Rihanna

10. Kate Hudson

I can ride with Heidi, Gwyneth, Anne, and SJP for the most part, and Michelle Obama is a refreshing breath of fashionable air for a first lady. But the other half of the list get a big fat N.O.
What do you think?

Michelle Obama X Narciso Rodriguez = 1st Lady Is Stylin' On You!

The fashion set has genuine cause to be excited this morning. Not only because last night's victor is Barack Obama — who the fashion industry overwhelmingly supported and whose campaign they generously helped finance — but because Michelle Obama shall go with him to the White House with truckloads of fabulous taste and clothes. Last night she wore a dress from Narciso Rodriguez's spring 2009 collection, one of the most critically acclaimed of New York Fashion Week. Michelle's style has impressed on the campaign trail with frugal finds from places like J.Crew and H&M and designer threads by designers like Narciso and Thakoon. But we don't recall seeing her jump seasons ahead. That dress hit the runway less than eight weeks ago and isn't on sales floors yet, which means special arrangements were made between Michelle and Narciso. Perhaps he lent it to her, or she asked to purchase it after he sent it to her. We have a feeling she'll continue to mix affordable pieces with designer pieces as First Lady (squeals!), but this wardrobe choice proves this woman knows fashion and we have an exciting four years of political fashion ahead of us. What will she choose for the inaugural ball? The suspense is so exciting already! And you know what else is great about this? We don't have to envy France for Carla Bruni anymore!

The Day After The World CHANGED.

Barack Obama's Presedential Acceptance Speech.

And as hoped for by our president elect in his acceptance speech, there are McCain supporters who are willing to bridge our divide. Elizabeth Hasslebeck of The View was a die-hard McCain supporter but this morning she did the right thing.

My Favorite Halloween Costume.

The more I see/hear from Heidi Klum the cooler she gets. A few years ago I was in downtown Brooklyn with my boyfriend and this jeweler starts showing us pics of Heidi coming in to get her gold fronts! Hilarious!
Anyway, she further showcased the awesomeness by dressing up for Halloween as Kali Ma. AKA Kali, Kalika, Smashana Kali, etc.

Kali Ma is the Hindu Goddess of creation and destruction, and I personally find her to be one of the most fascinating religious figures. Complex and powerful, she is often found drinking blood, gobbling entrails, and doing all manner of things Stephen King couldn't conjure up.

Therefore, she is often misunderstood, and seen as a goddess of death, but her purpose is to liberate the soul by overcoming the idea that YOU are YOUR BODY. Whatever your religion, should you choose to follow one, there is always the promise that you are more than just flesh, and Kali Ma intends to impress that upon you in ways that may appear frightening. The association with death comes into play because the soul can only be liberated by the death of the body, but we humans harbor this strange attachment to our bodies don't we?
So for wearing a costume that makes you go Hmmm...I commend you Heidi!

SGHI ENDORSES BARACK OBAMA FOR PRESIDENT

SGHI ENDORSES BARACK OBAMA FOR PRESIDENT.

If you've checked in with us at SGHI regularly, then you can tell from some of our posts that we are a left leaning group when it comes to politics. The three of us made up our minds long ago regarding the candidate we would be voting for come Nov. 4th 2008, and we have avidly watched the debates and speeches in order to keep abreast of new developments and ensure that our decisions were right and well informed.
We have tried to keep our readers as informed, without swaying you to choose one candidate or the other. It is so important for each person to educate themselves on the facts and choose accordingly. But with only a week left until election day, we felt it important to state officially that all 3 members of SGHI will be voting for Barack Obama, and give you some of the reasons why we support him.

We believe that Barack Obama's plan to change the future of America is a solid one, and that he has the vision and leadership to move us as a nation in a better and stronger direction. The opportunity to vote for him is our nations greatness at our fingertips, and when the day comes we will be a part of that movement.

We stand firmly behind Obama's Blueprint for change.

We believe that everyone should have affordable health care.

We believe that everyone should be able to afford higher education. Under Obamas administration a $4000 credit for college tuition will be given for 100 hours public service. He also supports public college being free to students with a "B" average or higher.

We believe in safely ending a war which has done nothing to benefit Americans, is a drain on our weakened economy, and has claimed more lives than the incident which allegedly sparked said war in the first place.

We believe in every woman's right to choose. A life is a precious gift, but a child should be wanted and given all the love and care an able parent can provide.

We believe in protecting our world now for a healthier tomorrow. Educating Americans on recycling, reducing carbon emissions, developing alternative fuels, and renewable energy sources.

We believe that Americas image can be restored as that of a leader in the World with the right person in charge. America needs an intelligent and diplomatic leader, not a Joe Six Pack.

Barack Obama has managed to electrify a nation that has long been jaded by its government. Never in our lifetime have we seen such excitement in politics, such a fervor for knowledge from those who never believed that the leaders of their country had the peoples best interest in mind. It is an incredible and historic time we live in, one that many never got to see, and that some never thought they would.

Barack Obama is not a savior, and the President does not act autonomously. We understand that some feel the President is just a figurehead, and that nothing will change should Obama become elected, but now is your chance to find out. Let's see what one good person can do to sway us, as a nation, in the right direction. Lets find out what CHANGE is all about by electing someone different from the 43 Presidents who came before him.

We want to be a part of this moment we can tell our children about someday, and when we send those children out into the world with the promise that they can be anything they want to be, we need for that promise to finally be true.
We hope you feel the same way, and that you will be standing in line with us at the polls on Nov. 4th to welcome a new era.

Wishing you the best in Life, Liberty and The Pursuit Of Happiness

-SGHI

Winning Looks of the Week!

Here are a few of the ladies which I have selected to be my inspiration for the week. These ladies looked absolutely exquisite at their respective events. They all exuded class and understated sexiness.

If I were to choose a winner amongst all the ladies I would have to go with mystery lady number 1. Does anyone know who she is? I'll give you a clue... her first name begins with a K.

Who would you guys pick?
