Do Or Don't: Brightly Colored Leather Jackets

I woke up this morning and thought I might like to own a leather jacket in a bright juicy color. Nothing too crazy, I'm thinking in the blue or green family. The first pic is really doing something for me today. Well, not all the other pink and green foolishness she's wearing, just the jacket. Do Or Don't?

Winter-White

Check out this adorable winter-white coat at bebe.com now on sale for only $168.00!
That is an excellent price for a winter-white coat. You really don't want to pay a lot of money for something you'll rarely wear. Keep the price low and add this cute piece to your wardrobe!

Black Friday: It Ain't Over Till It's Over!

Who wanted to go out on Black Friday anyway? For a sale? To get elbowed and god forbid, trampled? No thank you. I'll take leftover turkey and a movie marathon.

But that doesn't mean I missed out, there are plenty of great deals online. I was able to shop from the comfort of my home. Here are a few websites offering a great selection on "Black Friday" sales which are lasting until Monday! Plus I heard Monday is AKA "Cyber Monday" so I don't even know if I should buy now, or if Monday is going to be the super-sale...

Shopbop.com is offering $50 off when you spend over $250, $100 off when you spend over $500 etc. Which makes this cute little winter jacket by ADD DOWN only $205.
Original retail price: $365

Over at Ssense.com they're offering 30% of off everything on the site when you enter the promo code blckfrd at check out. They also offer free shipping and there's no tax! Which brings this adorable Botkier bag that I was eyeing a few months ago until Alicia convinced me I didn't need it, but now I think I really do need it anddonttrytostopme!!!! down to $446. Original retail price: $638 (plus tax call it $700)

And at RalphLauren.com you can let loose your inner equestrian and get in on the sale-on-top-of-the-sale. On top of a huge selection of sale items they also have a promo-code. Type in Holiday2008 at checkout for an additional 30% off your total.
These tops would have cost you $179 and $90, respectively. With the sales you'll be scooping them up for about $55 and $40.

Cold As Ice

Dolce and Gabbana Corset Trench Coat.

Dearest Reader,
Just so we're clear, I would crawl over your dead body to get my hands on that trench. Please know that that coat is a detriment to the safety of mankind.

Breaking News!

Solange came out looking decent! Is the world still spinning?
Seriously, it's a great look for Fall, and really easy to recreate.
You probably have most of the elements in your closet already. Skinny black jeans, check! Black camisole, check!
Need a houndstooth jacket?

This one is only $19.99 from Chadwicks.
The four finger rings look like something you can get from Melody Ehsani, who I posted about awhile back. Refresh your memory here.
Top off the look with some chunky costume jewelry pearls, and you're done!

I Said Warm, Not Wack.

I've just barely wrapped up my fall shopping, and I've already been agonizing about what to wear once the chill really sets in. I've been wanting a "puffy" jacket, but I hadn't seen any this year that spoke to me at all.
Until now... I'm kind of digging the looks over at Mackage, a Canadian company based out of Quebec. I'm pretty sure I'll have one of these on my back in the next month or 2.

Check out these, and more at Mackage.Com

The Hawk Cometh!

You may live in a warmer part of the world than myself, but in New York City, the chill is already coming on. It's still OK when the sun is out, but come nighttime that fall jacket is becoming a necessity. Have you found one you like yet? I still haven't. I had a "Holy Grail" jacket but that ish was wild expensive, Junya Watanabe has been making life really hard for me lately. Unfortunately everything else I've seen is poor substitute and I still dream about the jacket I've lost. I've been looking though, I'm on the prowl. They say the best way to get over an old jacket is to get under a new one.

Fall Fashion Trends

Hello my people,

Sad to say that summer is slowly but surely coming to a close. I don't know about you guys but I'm trying to rack up on my clothing for Fall ASAP. I know that some people despise shopping for fall during the summer and vice versa, but honestly, I tend to find better deals when things are out of season. So if you're anything like me, take a look @ some of the pieces that you would want to keep an eye out for. Now, although these pieces are a bit pricey, I just want you to forget the price for a moment, and take a look @ the item in itself. We will try to find a replica of anything that stands out to you @ a cheaper price. Just let us know.

First up:
MISSIONI Pegno dress @$1695
Sweater dresses are not going anywhere this winter, and you will be seeing more off the shoulder and asymmetrical cuts as well.
THOMAS WYLDE Black widow cardigan @$1385
Here is another example of the asymmetric cut, slight bell sleeves that comes in around the elbows. You should also look out for bell sleeves this winter as well. This item is a stand alone piece by, you can also drape a belt around the waist of this sweater paired with cute jeans and you've got yourself a hit.
ROBERTO CAVALLI Jersey mini dress @$1600
Here goes the bell sleeves again. This dress is an all around great piece to add to your wardrobe.
PRINGLE 1851 Bi-color tank dress @$225
The two toned dresses are nice touches to spruce up an outfit. Sometimes you don't want to wear one drab color and this is a great way to get away from that. This dress is cotton and nylon but getting a dress like this in wool would also be great for the winter months. This way you have color and warmth @ the same time.
BAMFORD Layered pleated skirt @$995
Herve Leger has gone rampant with the whole Bandaged look, and I find it very sexy. We can expect to see more of this layered look come fall. It's simple, chic and extremely versatile.
Diane Von Furstenburg (DVF) Sabra long coat @$725
This coat is so hot it's got me sweating bricks as I type, much like this
Gross. It looks so warm and inviting. Definitely a nice finish to any look. I love the over sized collar and the fact that it cinches in @ the waist, which is usually very flattering.
BALLY Balneria boots @$895
Lastly, you know I couldn't leave you without footwear. These boots are awesome. I know that some of us are still stuck on pointy toe, but I love round toe. It is more comfortable and I just adore the look on boots. These are no exception, the detailing @ the back just makes the boot stand out even more. Simple, yet arrestingly sexy.

Well that's the forecast for today. Let me know what you think. If you're interested in purchasing any of these items, you can head on over to Net-a-Porter

Thank me later, by showing me how you rocked these pieces or ones similar.
