You Can't Fit Ya Hand In Ya New Purse.

The Ultimate Engagement Ring - Search For The World's Best Couple contest officially kicked off in NYC today at Brasserie Ruhlmann. Kim Kardashian was on hand to help promote the contest and model the ring.

Jeweller Michael Hill will award one very lucky couple a 22 carat, princess cut diamond engagement ring set in platinum.

Couples who register to compete at www.my22ct.com will be voted for on social networking sites, with the final 6 couples being judged by panel, and the winning couple finally flown to Chicago to be awarded the mega ring! Bling Bling!

The contest is open to all couples, whether you're engaged, already married, or you just met. Good luck to all who enter, and remember where you heard this from. Make sure you chip me off 2 carats, mama needs a new pair of earrings!

Big City Variety, Small Town Price

Yesterday I went on my usual Sunday shopping adventure. Unfortunately, I didn't find any clothing, shoes, and/or accessories to purchase so I was kind of bummed. I was in the vicinity of 5th avenue and 19th Street. I went to Zara, H&M, Anthropologie, Club Monaco, Kenneth Cole and the Gap and still I came out empty-handed. I do believe that my not finding anything was partially due to the heavy crowds in most of the stores. I should have expected that as yesterday was a beautiful day. Tired, beaten and hungry I decided to walk back to my car and head home when I saw it...

Who knew that this existed in NYC? I can't even find pizza for a $1 in Brooklyn. It turns out today wasn't their grand opening. In fact they've been there for quite some time now. They are located on 6th Avenue between 17th and 18th street. While it's not the best pizza I've ever had it is far from the worst. I would give it 3 1/2 stars out of a possible 5. If ever your in the neighborhood be sure to check it out. It's cheap, quick, tasty pizza. You can't go wrong with that.

I know it's not fashion, but on our journey to being fabulous we all have to stop and eat.

FSOTW

Hi guys,

I know it's late and I should have done this on Saturday. However, I have been looking at the roundup of Celeb photos this week and I wanted to introduce my pick for "Favorite Shoe of the Week,(FSOTW)."

It is none other than the United Nude "Iris" shoe designed by Iris van Herpen. Iris is a designer from the Netherlands. After having cultivated her skills under Viktor & Rolf and Alexander McQueen. She is now progressing internationally; having completed 5 collections in Amsterdam and Tokyo. I look forward to seeing a lot more of this designer and her avant garde fashion palette.

Next week I would love to get your votes on which shoe is deserving of the "FSOTW" award. Of course I will be sure to post the potential contenders so that you can cast your vote.

Below is a photo of Kim Kardashian wearing the "Iris Nude Shoe" as well as several photos from Ms. van Herpen's last collection. The workmanship that went into these pieces is simply unreal.

Keep Your Cool.

Just because summer is ending doesn't mean you should pack away all your sunglasses. They're a cant miss accessory, sitting front and center on your face, they always make a statement. No matter the season sunglasses are an easy way to add cool to your look.

Two must have looks for the Fall 2010 season: Translucent frames and dramatic cat eyes.

Check out this easy to wear and easy on the wallet offering from spitfire.

$33 at RevolveClothing.com

Don't be fooled, these clear frames do offer UVA/UVB protection from the suns rays, plus they'll go with anything. A word of caution, you may want to keep your wardrobe a bit understated and/or muted when wearing these in order to avoid crossing into hipster-douchebag territory. Unless of course you are a hipster-douchebag, in which case you should definitely throw on the neon pink jeggings and florescent yellow top. Do you.

On the other end of the price point pendulum try these shades from Alexander Wang.

$365 at Saks.com

Talk about instant chic. Already spotted on Kelly Osbourne and Rihanna, these sexy shades must be a stylist favorite. Though they could be worked into just about any ensemble, if the fall seasons ladylike/Mad Men inspired trends are your cup of tea then these should be your sugar!

Valentino Lace Printed Rain Boots

How cute are these Valentino rain boots?! Lace is very hot right now, so they're an easy way to stay on trend without looking overdone.
I usually hate rainy days, but with a pair of these you'd catch me doing a rain dance just to have a reason to put them on.
$295 at Saks.

Brooklyn Welcomes Barneys!

194 Atlantic Ave at Court St.

Barneys CO-OP has officially opened its doors in Brooklyn! The opening coincides with Barneys 25th anniversary, so if you're going soon look out for exclusive limited edition 25th anniversary creations from designers such as Alexander Wang and 3.1 Phillip Lim.

This strip of Atlantic Ave in the Boerum Hill section of BK is quickly becoming a fashion hot spot. For years we've had awesome boutiques and consignment shops in the area, but in the last 2/3 years there has been an influx of big name chains opening Brooklyn outposts. Now longtime neighborhood faves such as Butter and Maleeka, are sharing their piece of town with giant corporations like Urban Outfitters, and Jodi Arnold.

With the opening of a high end retailer like Barneys, more stores of the fancy, spendy variety are sure to follow. Welcome to Brooklyn, Madison Avenue watch your back!

Rihanna - Only Girl In The World

The video for Rihanna's first single off of her upcoming album Loud dropped today. Titled "Only Girl In The World", the video definitely stays true to the title theme. Rihanna appears in a pseudo post-apocalyptic world where only flowers have survived.
The song certainly has all the makings of a mega hit...but that hair! I can't with that mess.

It's Now Or Never.

Well, not really never. But if you have yet to purchase a coat for the upcoming winter weather, I suggest you bump it up to the very top of your shopping list. Out of ideas?
Try these from Mackage. Sophistication with a splash of grit.

Kim Kardashian Poses Nude For W Magazine's Annual Art Issue

Soooo...I'm only going to post this cover shot, as it is the most tame in this series of photos, and I don't want any problems with you guys. The last thing I need is for someone to complain that I poked them in the eye with a nip before they'd even had their morning coffee. But there are plenty more pics of Kim in her bucket naked glory. Just Google.

No shade, she seems like a pleasant young lady and I think she looks great. If you want to take off your clothes I say flaunt it while you got it. But wasn't it just last month that she was lamenting over her decision to do Playboy? Oh, I forgot. This is ART! Silly me.

How Will These California Girls Fare In The Concrete Jungle?

Kim and Kourtney Kardashian have left sunny California for a cold winter on the gritty streets of NYC. OK, "streets" is sort of a stretch, but it's most definitely a drastic change of atmosphere.
While here they will be filming a reality show called Kourtney And Kim Take New York, and opening up a branch of their clothing store Dash at 119 Spring ST in SOHO.
I for one am excited to see what kind of goodies they'll have at DASH. There's always room for somewhere new to shop in SOHO, and my inner clothing goblin welcomes them!

Plus Kim posted this shot of what she says is the DASH NYC VIP Makeup Room. Now that is a VIP room I wanna get in to.

Philosophy Gingerbread Man Body Wash+ Scrub

One of my favorite winter time indulgences is Philosphy's Gingerbread Man Collection.
The most non-fattening way to enjoy cookie goodness, it's like warmth and comfort in a bottle.

Kanye West Performs "Power" Live on SNL

I honestly think this is one of the most amazing and creative live performances I've ever seen. The beauty and strength is in its simplicity, sometimes a laser light show is not what you need to inspire emotion in your audience. Kudos to Mr. West for sending chills down my spine.

Do Or Don't?

Kim Kardashian visits the Pool fashion store at Maximilianstrasse in Munich, Germany.

I guess she has to lower them so she can see..
Methinks these are a bit much, but if you feel like blowing some cash on novelty shades, I guess.

I do enjoy the rest of the look though.
