TMZ posted these photos side by side on Wednesday making the accusation that L'Oreal did some major photoshopping to make Beyonce look white in the new add [on the right] for Feria. Magazine, marketing and advertising companies are notorious for photoshopping women; but did L'Oreal go too far? L'Oreal denies that any lightening was done to B's skin tone and issuesd this statement to the Associated Press:
"We highly value our relationship with Ms. Knowles. It is categorically untrue that L'Oreal Paris altered Ms. Knowles' features or skin tone in the campaign for Feria hair color," and Beyonce's camp did not address this further.
I don't think they can deny that this ad was heavily photoshopped; what ad isn't now a days? The question is, were they trying to alter her features to make her look less ethnic? I thought the same of ads that I saw for JLo's fragrance some time back. Are we even surprised?
So what do you think, is L'Oreal being truthful?
Sidebar: I have used Feria by L'Oreal in the past and Kamilah just used Feria to color her hair and it looks FABULOUS!
